This was the chapter's 2nd fundraiser guayla, and yet again they were amazed by the support shown to them by the Dallas Eritrean community. When Bereket Mengisteab took the stage he got every guest on their feet starting the guayla off with patriotic zeal. The guests danced throughout the night into the early morning and did not want the guayla to end. Ogbamariam Kubrom was overjoyed with the course of events that night and shared, "it was one of the best guaylas she had attended in a long time, Bereket Mengisteab and his band put on amazing show." The chapter members were happy to see their guests enjoying themselves, and the event's success only added fuel to the chapter's hopes of positively affecting the lives of their local Eritrean community as well as their homeland.

On a more personal note, YPFDJ- Dallas was extremely moved by the relationship formed with Bereket Mengisteab and the band mates throughout the weekend. Along with the wisdom shared, the most endearing part to the members were the parting words Bereket Mengisteab shared with them. “I looked up seeking help and guidance from our martyrs, they looked down to me and told me KESNE...the youth are here now, and they will take good care of us.”  To receive that type of emotional support from a man who not only lived through the struggle, but played an intricate part in it, was truly an honor and only added to the resolve of the chapter.
